We have partnered with various local schools and high school seniors offering a wonderful opportunity to explore students interest in the psychotherapy field. We love connecting with teens, hearing about their needs, and inviting them to peak inside the life of a therapist!
“During my time at Integrative, I was given the space and opportunity to be creative and use art as self-expression. I began drawing and creating posters to highlight teen challenges, and mental health areas I wanted to raise awareness about. At first, I was hyper-focused on my limited art skills and was unsure if it was the right activity for me.”
When I was able to let go of my idea of ‘perfection’, I found the creativity to be relaxing and enlightening. One of the pictures I drew was a sign that said “progress, not perfection” which was exactly what I was telling myself as I was going through this process. - Shulamith High School Student
“I was unsure about the impact of art therapy for people that are not artistic but this gave me an opportunity to explore art therapy and see its ability to be a way to communicate when words are not accessible.”
