When you walk into the first session with your ideal client it feels like heaven. You love doing therapy! You are a licensed mental health professional, ethical, well trained, and you are pretty good with almost anyone that comes in the door, but with clients with anxiety, trauma, depression, and self esteem issues you are truly great! The problem is, in your current situation, you’re burnt out with a caseload that is too big to handle, and it is truly starting to wear you down.

You've thought about owning your own private practice, but the truth is- you don't want to be a business owner and to carry the stress that comes with that. You get excited about talking to people, sharing what you do, but you don't want to be bogged down with accounting, bookkeeping, business planning, and stressors involved in running a business! You'd really love to find a private practice where you made more money than the agency you are working at- but even more than that- you'd like to feel like you were a part of a truly awesome community. You want to be excited about the clients you are working with, glowing at the end of a really hard clinical day because you know you did excellent work.
You love helping people through their anxieties and depression, taking into consideration the trauma they have experienced and how it impacts their day to day. And when it comes to teens, you have a special gift of how to help them feel inspired and start feeling better. You know how to make that connection and how to help the parents navigate their fears. You are looking for the next step in your career to be one where the clinical work is the primary work and where trauma informed therapy is valued. You aren’t interested in going out on your own into private practice but the setting is one you desire to work in because you value team collaboration.
Integrative Psychotherapy is a small team of licensed mental health practitioners who help teens and adults in the Long Island area with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues and trauma. We provide team consultation and education so that you can continue to grow clinically. We are looking for our next team member.
